After more than ten years, Slapshot around band founder and voice Jack “Choke” Kelly are releasing their new album. The current line-up consisting of Craig Silvermain/guitar (including Blood for Blood, Agnostic Front, Ramallah, etc.), Ryan Packer/bass and John Bean/drums have proven themselves over numerous tours in recent years and are now laying the foundation for this together with Choke the coming years. The new album is self-titled and is called “Slapshot”, which is definitely a nod to where the journey is headed, namely back to the roots! 16 numbers in 35 minutes promise old school hardcore at its finest and the record actually impresses straight away and doesn't slow you down with unnecessary break downs in every song. Urtypical slapshot sound: fast and unrestrained, clear announcements that are sometimes played back in catchy sing-a-longs. The record runs through and the needle is immediately reattached!
