"Oi! ain't dead!" Skinhead power from the Hohenlohe region, SCHARMÜTZEL do the honors! The boys first formed in May 1995, followed by demos, a 7", two albums ("Derb & Gnadenlos" and "wenn es noch noch", both released on WALZWERK) as well as countless gigs. Then came various line-up changes and finally the Resolution. The second chapter SCHARMÜTZEL was started in 2004, and since 2007 they have had a complete line-up together again. After the comeback "Ain't dead", SCHARMÜTZEL now delivers their masterpiece with "Forward into war": 18 powerful tracks full of anger, Passion and working class spirit!
Lyrically a classic mix of political frustration, justified criticism of the scene and skinhead cult. "Havin' a laugh and havin' a say!"

The rough-legged Oi! from the early days has developed into a powerful street fighter with a powerful rocking MOTÖRHEAD edge, CONDEMNED 84/SECTION 5 basics, a rich guitar sound and stormy singalongs. The final touch is also ensured by first-class production, crystal clear and extremely powerful. An old SCHARMÜTZEL tradition has also been maintained: since the first demo, the band's releases have been available in two languages, using both German and English very skillfully. In addition, the SCHARMÜTZEL style is made up of various musical components. The resulting diversity is quite rare in this sector, only a few local combos succeed in this balancing act. "Tribute to the Working Class", for example, is a superbly carried anthem with Nordic moments, "Blutiger Asphalt" is an aggressive bald stomper in the best German Oi ! Tradition. With "Flower of Scotland" and "Love is dead" you even venture into tricky ballad territory without failing. Hardly any song is similar to the other, but there is still a common thread running through "Foward into war": SCHARMÜTZEL was and is a skinhead band, and great importance is always placed on that. But not a boring, run-of-the-mill skinhead band... And don't worry: you don't get lost in experiments, you always keep both boots on the ground. "Eat the rich and save the poor - Forward into war!" About the look: The album is released in the finest DigiPac version with a 24-page booklet! Bandworm 2009.

english:

"Oi! ain't dead!" The German Oi! unit SCHARMÜTZEL (SKIRMISH in English), est. in 1995, is back with a blast! Their third full length, "Forward into war", contains 18 powerful & varied Skinhead crackers! Musically, it's a strong blend of street sound with ingredients of CONDEMNED 84, SECTION 5, some german Oi! classics and a good dose of MOTÖRHEAD. Heavy guitar walls, pounding drum beats, aggressive vocals and stormy singalongs: that's the trade mark of SCHARMÜTZEL! Their set ranges from kickin' Oi! tunes to calm ballad stuff. Lyrics both in German and English, so they're ready for the world wide rumble! (Please note, there are 13 tracks in English). Topics are in the traditional working class style: about nasty politics, the divided scene, broken love affairs, historical legends and of course the skinhead way of life. SCHARMÜTZEl is at first a skinhead band and damn proud of it! Comes as DigiPac edition w/ 24 page booklet and special embossed sleeve. BANDWORM 2009.
