With "A Way Out," PERKELE, Gothenburg's finest since 1993, once again succeeds in creating a street rock 'n' roll blueprint, a tailor-made statement. 10 old-school bootboy anthems, a powerful PERKELE stampede of anger and passion. Rough, kickin', catchy! PERKELE have become more aggressive again, sounding more "Swedish" again. Their sound is oriented towards their own masterpieces, combining the harsh aggro edge of "Voice of Anger" with the golden singalongs of "Confront" and the grandiose melodies of "Forever." Add to that dirty UK '79 basics, catchy R'n'R traditionals, and a clear working-class/way-of-life message. "Against" plain language from the streets, antisocial for life: The ACAB smash "He loves violence" officially gets to the point, the greedy society gets its dedication spat in the face with "Dedicated to Nothing," and "Leave me alone" leaves no questions unanswered: "Get the hell away from me, Let me go, leave me alone." But there are not only pros and cons – "Believe" makes it clear what it should always be about: "Never lose your pride, never lose your strength, Never lose your hope, never lose the faith, Never stop – believing in yourself!" "Give me your money" is amused by the envious, dishing out sarcastically amused comments: "I wanna be mainstream, give me your money." And the party doesn't miss a beat either: "The boots will dance tonight, to the sound of the street!" That's a promise. "A way out" delivers the new anthems.
