Anyone who hears the band name Nekromantix doesn't have to have a flat hairstyle to automatically think of frontman Kim Nekroman aka Dan Gaarde and his black, coffin-shaped double bass ("Coffinbass"), which is, in a sense, the trio's trademark and has written music history across all genres. The formation, originally founded by Nekroman in Copenhagen in 1989, has undergone a number of line-up changes over the years. Nevertheless, they are considered one of the most influential and innovative bands in the psychobilly scene. Francisco Mesa is currently on guitar while Adam Guerrero is on drums. With "A Symphony Of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes", Nekromantix's ninth studio album is released, like its predecessor on the Epitaph sub-label Hellcat. The connection with the Californians goes back to 1999. Tim Armstrong, singer of the punk rock band Rancid and head of Hellcat alongside Brett Gurewitz, was a big Nekromantix fan since the band's early days and signed them in 2001. In the band's usual manner, "A Symphony Of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes" is also characterized by a high level of energy and joy of playing. Anyone who has a heart for psychobilly and the Nekromantix will get their money's worth here too. Hellcat 2016
