METTE NENSCHEN. Bad songs. Nasty lyrics. Musically, they rely on traditional hardcore values: brutal staccato guitar riffs with a sharp metal edge, driving drum beats and poisonous vocals. VARUKERS/DISCHARGE style, the merciless hardness of EXPLOITED in the "Beat the bastards" era. MN would also have fit well on PUNKCORE or CHARGED as the German counterpart to CASUALTIES, VIRUS or CHEAP SEX. The German lyrics bring local heroes like TOXOPLASMA into play, who used to exude a similar poison and bile factor.
In terms of content, the parallels to the GROSS STICK are very clear; only master Hazy can make similar uncompromising plain language statements in this country: "Alive on the outside, but dead on the inside. Lived completely in vain, human skin full of pig excrement." Hard times, hard lyrics. No mercy for cops, priests, state and society. Dark doom scenarios made in Magdeburg, not an album for dreamers and optimists. A 13-fold world conflagration, a rabid hardcore punk apocalypse. "All these actions that we see day after day are the consequences of this sick system!!!" No amen.
