"Dernier assaut", the final attack...The testament of one of the most legendary Oi! bands in France. Although they only released a 7" ("Chansons a boire" on FOMB, 1984), L'INFANTERIE SAUVAGE from the Paris area have classics status. A few demo tapes, the 7", various sampler tracks ("1984–the first sonic world war", "France profonde 1" etc.), then it was over in 1984. But the myth of L'INFANTERIE SAUVAUGE is Even 30 years later, it is still unbroken. This is due to both their cult songs (and the person of their singer: Gèno, born on November 15th, 1964 in Paris. Tragic figure of fate for L'INFANTERIE SAUVAGE and the entire French Oi! scene. " Dernier assaut - Live a Juvisy-sur-Orge, 9 juin 1984" is the final statement, the tragic swan song. The musicians were at odds with each other, the common denominator was gone. An exact reflection of the atmosphere in Juvisy-sur-Orge. Local and ideological Rivalries divided the audience and the atmosphere was violent. Skins against punks, skins against skins. The wrong slogans, the wrong arm movements. Guitarist Mourad finally left the stage angry and frustrated, L'INFANTERIE SAUVAGE were history. What remains is a recording of the concert, nine songs in authentic, raw live quality. These recordings are by no means just a historical document, but also contain exclusive material: for example, the previously unreleased song “Boxeur” and the powerful band anthem “Bords de Seine” as an alternative ska version.
