"You should stand on both feet, walk through life with a proud look...You should live and not just function!" KÄRBHOLZ present album #4 with the promising title: “100%”. No exaggeration, no empty air, the worthy audience can expect 100% unbridled KH playing joy. The opener "KHCC" already sets the tone: "No offcuts, no copies...This isn't a Musikantenstadl, this is country core!" No thin wannabe country strumming, but the brutal MOTÖRHEAD goes Wild West version. As a follower, "Night Without Stars" opens in a relaxed offbeat mode, then explodes into a full-throttle anthem.
Topics are across the board clever everyday observations from the underdog perspective, lightened by sarcastic comments ("... you bought yourself fancy boots at the SSV"), always animated by an irrepressible desire for freedom. With "Born Stupid" they have written the perfect outsider anthem, a clear statement against ignorance and opportunism ("I don't want to become one of the gentlemen at the regulars' table who don't know the world..."). Completely without false pathos, completely without sentimentality.
"100%" contains 12 powerful KH vocals, rich turbo rock with powerful punk basics and courage for diversity, dominated by driving, razor-sharp guitar leads and distinctively rough vocals. Rounded off by a voluminous killer production, powerful to the maximum sound. The best moments from ONKELZ, hearty, classic Aussie power rock'n'roll (ROSE TATTOO, AC/DC) and contemporary hardness (VOLBEAT) combined into one compact maelstrom.
On board: “Du bist König”, the single from last fall, the teaser for the album. The first edition of the MCD was sold out within a week, and the accompanying tour also took place mainly in front of sold-out houses. The KÄRBHOLZ virus eats its way through hearts and veins in a stormy rush, devastates souls and shakes brains. Benign, passionate, unstoppable.
Since the band was founded in 2003, the Bergische Vollgas Rock'n'Rollers have been storming unstoppably from level to level, upping the ante with every release. From the debut album "Spiel des Lebens" (ASPHALT, 2007) to "100%" it was a strenuous journey, completed impetuously and energetically. With the new material, the four boys from the Rhenish postcard idyll Ruppichteroth have definitely underlined their leading position in the sector.

KH deliver it with clear-raspy vocals, sharp-edged guitar riffs and thunderin' bass lines. It's varied, it's authentic and it's completely straight ahead.
