With the “Spiet van alles” album, CLOSE COMBAT are also back on our label. We remember: In 2004, the “Iron City Patriots” (the band anthem of the same name is an unbeatable singalong smash) from Maastricht made their debut with the “Viva Meestrech!” mini-album, which was still in the local language at the time. The breakthrough came with “Guest of the state”, released on BANDWORM in 2006 as a 12-song album on LP/CD. With English texts. Crisp bully mix of C 84, COCKNEY REJECTS and TEMPLARS, aggressive skinhead beat with lots of anger in the belly. Back then on bass: Merijn (BANNER OF THUGS, now with DISCIPLINE and YOUNG ONES).
At the end of the 2000s the band became quiet, now the comeback is coming. “Spiet van alles” contains 9 songs, sung again in the local dialect. The circle closes. And you haven't forgotten anything, just fine-tuned the details. Has become harder and more compact. Powerful troublemaker/hooligan street punk with big singalongs, rousing melodies and powerful riffs. Slightly metallic and very precise. A good pinch of Oi!core makes the sound even more brutal. The evil choruses of “De Jonges” give you goosebumps and gnashing of teeth, “Den Duvvel” rushes through the verses like a bulldozer. Tough as nails, a brutal manifesto of bad moods. 43 minutes of massive CLOSE COMBAT power! As the boys themselves say: “With this band you don’t have many friends, but the ones you do have share your dreams!

They're back! Remember CLOSE COMBAT? In 2004, the “Iron City Patriots” from Maastricht/Netherlands started with the “Viva Meestrech!” mini-album, still in their local language. Two years later they delivered “Guest of the state”, released in 2006 on BANDWORM Records as 12-song LP/CD. On the bass back then: Merijn Verhees (BANNER OF THUGS, SPARROW FALLS, now in DISCIPLINE and YOUNG ONES).
At the end of the 2000s they called it a day, now comes the return. “Spiet van alles” contains 9 massive Streetpunk/Oi! Core tunes, sung again in the local dialect. Playtime: 43 minutes. FFO: DISCIPLINE, RAZORBLADE, TECH 9.
