Exactly 12 years after their debut "Part one", the reformed BLITZKRIEG from Novi Sad present their second album, aptly titled "2nd". “Part one” was released on BANDWORM in LP format in 1999, and we have shared a long history with BLITZKRIEG. Despite the line-up changes and the gnawing ravages of time, the boys' sound hasn't changed much since the band was founded in 1992. The Serbian cousins of SHAM 69 (in terms of hard riffs and street singalongs) and SOCIAL DISTORTION (in terms of melancholy) still rely on big melodies and powerful songwriting, as a result "2nd" delivers 10 catchy, sometimes melancholy street punk'n' Roll catchy tunes with the very own BLITZKRIEG seal of approval. Of course, the use of the local language also ensures this; it guarantees additional recognition value. The English-language "Duka" has a great UK guitar punk touch, reminiscent of NEUROTICS, RED LONDON during their "Pride & Passion" phase, "Engleska", also English, rocks in MOTÖRHEAD style. BLITZKRIEG always remains BLITZKRIEG. Overall, an excellent comeback album from an excellent band! The LP will be released in an edition of 250 copies on black vinyl.

Right now, BANDWORM Records proudly presents the second full length by Serbia's BLITZKRIEG, simply called "2nd". 12 years ago we've released their debut "Part one", so we're long-time buddies in many ways. BLITZKRIEG were originally found in 1992, called a day in 2002 and have re-united in 2006. These truly veterans of the Serbian streetpunk scene doesn't have changed their sound since the beginnings, it's still their own BLITZKRIEG brand: powerful melodic cuts with heartfelt melodies and the feeling for great singalongs. Sounding sometimes like cousins of SHAM 69 and SOCIAL DISTORTION (esp. for their melancholy side), they are still very unique. Mainly thru the use of their native language, so you can't mix up them. BLITZKRIEG means BLITZKRIEG! The English "Duka" gives a nice UK guitar punk note, maybe influenced by the NEUROTICS or RED LONDON. So, BLITZKRIEG are back and ready to go! Remember the lines in their classic "Never give up": "Than you will know that you still live for your dreams, that you're not afraid to tell them no. Than you will know is there's nothing left for you, No surrender ' 'til the end". All in all, the 10 tracks of "2nd" celebrate a great come back from a great, honest band!
